Indianapolis-based immersive experience company VisionThree (V3) announced today that it has appointed Eric Margheim as Vice President of Engineering, effective November 29, 2022. Margheim, who is based in Columbia, MO, most recently served as a lead back-end developer at V3.

Margheim is a software engineering leader who has a passion for creating products that make a positive impact on others. After spending over 30 years in software product development and support, he understands what makes a software team productive and a great environment for engineers to thrive and enjoy their work.

In addition to serving as the principal architect, initial developer, and manager for an industry-leading airline business contracting software, Margheim was also a key contributor in building APIs and software integrations for a leading arts & culture software platform. He has experience with early-stage startups and loves to roll up his sleeves and leverage his broad skillset to help a team achieve its goals.

“With over 20 years of experience with remote-first teams, I’ve learned first-hand how to leverage technology while still maintaining the personal connection a team needs to be productive and excited to come to work every day, even if it’s in their pajamas,” says Margheim.

Margheim is also an accomplished musician, composer, and jingle producer, so creativity is wired into everything he does. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
